This fall, NBC is introducing an adaptation of another successful British comedy series.

The US version of The IT Crowd will retain the characters from the original series but will mostly be made up of an American cast. Among the writers for the upcoming show are Moses Port, David Guarascio, Joe Port and Joe Wiseman. Graham Linehan, the creator of the original series, and Steve Tao will serve as executive producers. Gail Mancuso, known for her work on Scrubs and 30 Rock, will be directing The IT Crowd.

The British version is set in the offices of a fictitious company called Reynholm Industries, where three members of an IT-support team spend their days working from the building’s unkempt and dingy basement.
