Lucy Punch became a TV regular when she was cast on the comedy series The Class. As the character Holly Ellenbogen, she lingered on the series for 12 episodes, leaving the show due to creative changes implemented by the executive producers. Previously, she was Kyle Lendo’s prom date but was brokenhearted when he cheated on her with another guy. Later, she became a successful television news reporter who married the seemingly effeminate Perry Pearl. Still devastated on Kyle’s cheating, she went to Ethan Haas’ reunion party to brag to Kyle how happy she is with her married life.

Finally.
After a month of holidays, egg nog, and more Snoopy and Ralphie Parker than one knows what to do with, we're finally back to normal. January is upon us, 2007 has begun its tyrannical, 300-plus day reign, and our favorite TV shows will no longer bludgeon us with repeats. Tomorrow, January 3rd, brings the return of a couple of our favorites, as well as two brand new shows.
After that, the flood begins, and over the next month virtually every original program will air new episodes. A full list of the returning dates for most every show on television is after the jump.

CBS, somewhat surprisingly, has ordered more episodes of the ensemble comedy The Class. This comes after both mediocre ratings and a bevy of lukewarm reviews. They haven't ordered a full season just yet, however. TVSquad has all the details.
I'm torn on The Class, in theory. I've only seen the pilot and it showcased some good potential, but not enough for me to put it on my permanent viewing schedule. The Class was created by David Crane (“Friendsâ€) and Jeffrey Klarik (“Mad About Youâ€) so it's not like the show lacks pedigree. In fact, we interviewed Crane and Klarik recently, and, besides being quite amiable, they were very confident in CBS's confidence in them. The ordering of more episodes speaks to that.
