Deacon tells Bridget he‘s going on a business trip to Vegas, when he really plans to visit Brooke. Deacon wonders why Brooke is running away and what she thinks he‘s done to her life. Brooke tells Dr. Isabel that she‘s worried that all the responsibilities she left behind will fall on Rick‘s shoulders. Dr. Isabel wonders if it‘s easier for Brooke to worry about Rick‘s problems than her own. She asks Brooke if she can‘t face Deacon because she still has feelings for him. Ridge tells Rick that he doesn‘t belong there, but then he changes his strategy and suggests he pull up a chair. The meeting proceeds as Ridge asks Yves about the International response to the cancellation of the lingerie line. When the report turns to financial details, Rick is clearly in over his head. Ridge tells Rick to go back to the playground. Eric angrily adjourns the meeting and tells Ridge and Rick to stay. Ridge confronts Rick about his stunt, pointing out that Rick is not equipped to run a company. Ridge wants Rick and Amber to stay out of his way. On the other side Amber promises Bridget that Rick is prepared for the meeting and will make them all proud. Brooke sees Deacon and tells him that he shouldn‘t be there, but Deacon insists that he‘s not leaving until he gets all his answers.
