Thad Luckinbill, who was born on April 24, 1975 in Enid, Oklahoma, was educated at University of Oklahoma, where he majored in business finance. He grew up influenced by his mother, who was a singer and later on learned how to play the guitar. Luckinbill launched his career by appearing as guest on primetime television shows such as
Buffy the Vampire Slayer , Providence, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Nash Bridges, and 8 Simple Rules. In 1999, he was cast for the role of JT Hellstrom on the soap opera,
The Young and the Restless . Later, he also appeared as guest on
Nip/Tuck and starred in the MTV documentary, True
Life .
Jeffrey Todd "JT" Hellstrom is portrayed by Thad Luckinbill in the soap opera, The Young and the Restless. JT is the son of Thomas and Martha Hellstrom. He is an apprentice detective who works for private investigator Paul Williams. He was formerly involved with women such as Brittany Hodges, Rianna Miner and Colleen Carlton, but is now dating Victoria Newman, Colleen's former stepmother.
