American actress Taylor Gildersleeve was born in 1991. After taking up acting classes as a child, she set out to pursue an acting career. Originally auditioning for the role of Colby Chandler in the daytime soap All My Children, she instead took on the role of Sydney Harris, the assistant housekeeper of the Chandlers. Her portrayal of her original role as a funny one lost out in favor of Ambyr Childer’s more mature vision of the character.

Gildersleeve’s role in the soap was short-lived, though. She entered the soap in August 2006, where she was included in a storyline involving Colby Chandler (Childers) and Sean Montgomery (Brent Weber). After only three months, she was dropped from canvas, but she only left the program officially in May 2007.
