Tamara Mello is an American actress of Portuguese and French descent, born on February 22, 1976 in Orange County, California. She began performing in community theater as a child, and while studying anthropology in college, she was encouraged to pursue an acting career by an agent who saw her onstage in Agnes of God. Lily Esposito is portrayed by Tamara Mello on the WB’s comedy-drama series Popular. An animal rights activist, she’s also a vegetarian and is confused for some time about her sexuality, though eventually decides that she’s straight. She later on marries Josh Ford.
