Television personality Stephen “Steve-O” Glover was born on June 13, 1974 in Wimbledon, London. Best known as one of the stunt performers and daredevils on the MTV shock series Jackass, he actually spent his early years living in England, before moving to the United States. After a year of studying at the University of Miami in Florida, he dropped out and attended the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Clown College instead, recording videos of his various stunts. While performing in a flea market circus, he sent his videos to Jackass director Jeff Tremaine, who made him a series regular as well as having Steve-O appear in the Jackass movie.
Steve-O is the host of his own upcoming shock series from the USA network, titled Dr. Steve-O. He says that he’s looking for young men to appear on his show from the ages of 18-27, and that he’ll change their lives forever, helping them ‘become cooler dudes’ and ‘score with hotter chicks.’ The show will revolve around getting guys to do the same sort of crazy stunts seen on Jackass, all while the cameras are rolling.
