Just when the stage was set for Smallville to go nuclear, he gets trapped in a kryptonite-infested cave-in with arch nemesis Lex Luthor and they must work together to survive. Meanwhile, Lana finds herself with Lionel’s life in her hands and he makes a stunning revelation as to why he forced her to go through with the wedding if he knew it was a sham. This is probably the last Smallville we’re going to get before things start leaning towards all out war, so in that sense it was a much needed diversion.
