Davis Bloome (Sam Witwer) is a paramedic at the Metropolis General Hospital. He appears to be a handsome, friendly guy with a crush on Chloe Sullivan (Allison Mack), who seems oblivious to his feelings. Clark Kent (Tom Welling) becomes suspicious of Davis after seeing him unconscious at a fresh murder scene. It is revealed that Davis is usually the first paramedic on the scene at these murders. Davis, often waking up without any recollection of his recent activities and with blood-drenched clothes, also begins to suspect that something in his life is seriously wrong. Furious for answers, he confronts Faora, General Zod's (Callum Blue) wife who has possessed Lois Lane's body (Erica Durance), about his recent activity. Faora reveals that Davis is a doomsday creation, a genetically modified tool designed to have the sole purpose of destroying Earth.
Furious, Davis desperately attempts to grasp onto the one thing he desires: He begs Chloe to abandon her current wedding plans and run away with him. She refuses him as she is in love with her fiance, Jimmy Olson (Aaron Ashmore)
On the day of Chloe's wedding, Doomsday appears, kidnapping Chloe and seriously injuring Jimmy. Davis learns that cold murder will satiate Doomsday's thirst for life, and without a sacrifice the monster is unleashed. He must either live as the monster or be near Chloe who gives him internal peace. Chloe, unwilling to make this commitment forever, uses a shard of black kryptonite to separate Davis from his alter ego. She then returns to Jimmy, which Davis sees as the ultimate rejection. In anger, he attacks Jimmy and they both die.
"You were destined to have the better life. No matter how hard we try to fight it, we will always return to our true nature."
"It isn't always about where your heart is. It's about what you've done and what you're going to do. I was sent here to destroy you, Clark."
