Shy Blakeman came from Kilgore, Texas. This 25 year old singer got his interest for singing upon listening to some ska and reggae music. Previously, he released his first album, Downtown Women, and toured the Southwest and Mexico. Later, he was shot in the face during an attempted robbery. Luckily, he survived this tragic incident.

Moreover, he became part of the reality talent show Nashville Star on Season 4 as one of the contestants. He got eliminated on week 2.
