Seana Kofoed began her stage career in Chicago, appearing in productions at The Goodman Theatre, The Court Theatre and The Victory Gardens Theatre before moving to New York. Kofoed was best known for productions on and off Broadway. Born on August 13, 1970 in Wilmette, Illinois, she attended New Trier High School, Northwestern University and continued her studies at the Royal National Theatre in London.
Seana Kofoed’s Broadway credits include Proof with Jennifer Jason Leigh and Night Must Fall with Matthew Broderick. Off-Broadway credits include several productions at Manhattan Theatre Club, the Atlantic Theatre Company and Manhattan Class Company. She has also received a Drama Desk Nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in An Experiment with an Air Pump. Her other stage appearances include Glimmer, Glimmer and Shine with the late John Spencer. Kofoed later made the transition from stage to television by making an appearance on an episode of Third Watch and later played Lois Creen on an episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. This was followed by a role in the made-for-TV biographical movie The Audrey Hepburn Story, where she was cast as Kay Kendall. In 2001, Kofoed was given a role in the series Ed, and had an appearance in the series Queens Supreme three years later. She soon lent her voice to the film Shark Tale, where she was cast in a small role. She later took on a role in the independent romantic comedy It’s About Time, and soon joined the cast of the hit TV series Men in Trees as Jane. Her character is that of an editor, and she worked alongside Anne Heche for her portrayal. Seana Kofoed has also been credited for her performance in the TV series Windy Acres, as well as the made-for-TV comedy movie Just a Phase.
