Scott Baio is an Emmy Award-nominated American television and film actor who was born on September 22, 1961 in Brooklyn, New York. He is the son of immigrants and was raised in a family of Italian heritage, and is also the cousin of fellow actor Jimmy Baio. After graduating from North Hollywood High School, he went on to perform in a number of TV series and movies. He has acted on shows such as Happy Days, Joanie Loves Chachi, Baby Talk, Diagnosis: Murder, and
Arrested Development . He also had roles in a number of films, among them Bugsy Malone, Stoned, All The Kids Do It, and Zapped!
Scott Baio stars in the VH1 celebrity reality television series based on his life, Scott Baio is 45… and Single. In it, he embarks on a trip along with a life coach named Dr. Alison Arnold, in order to figure out why he's still single despite having had a successful career and a string of famous lovers. He states that he's suffering from a mid-life crisis, and plans to talk to each of his old girlfriends in order to learn how he can find contentment and commitment in his life, with the help of the doctor and a few of his close friends.
