According to the cable network, the episode will have the squad investigating a murder of a young woman who was tortured by her killer. The circumstances surrounding the murder remind Grace (Holly Hunter) of a crime that took place 11 years ago.
Meanwhile, Rhetta (Laura San Giacomo) begins to believe that the objects Earl (Leon Rippy) leaves behind for Grace when he comes to visit her might have some hidden meaning. As a result, Rhetta decides to investigate what the meaning might be, and pays a visit to death-row inmate Leon Cooley (Bokeem Woodbine) to see if Earl left anything for him. As she puts things together, she comes across a shocking revelation. However, Rhetta is not the only one who encounters a surprise.
