Canadian film and television actress Sarah Chalke was born on August 27, 1976 in Ottawa, Ontario. Her mother is German, and she attended a German school twice a week during her childhood. Sarah Chalke began acting onstage in musical theater productions at the age of eight, and also worked as a reporter on the children’s show KidZone at the age of 16. One of her most well-known roles is as Dr. Elliot Reid in the NBC sitcom
Scrubs , and other television programs she’s worked on include Relentless: Mind of a Killer, Woman on the Ledge, Clone High, and Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy.
Rebecca “Becky” Conner Healy is portrayed by Sarah Chalke in the television sitcom Roseanne. The eldest of the Conner children, she’s an intelligent and bright overachiever, yet also has a quick temper and is prone to bouts of anger. Becky is occasionally at odds with her parents and her younger sister Darlene, and she dates rebellious biker Mark Healy, leaving home at age 17 to marry him. However, this is revealed near the end of the series that Roseanne made up Becky’s relationship with Mark just for the book she was writing, and that Becky actually ended up with David Healy.
