Roseanne Barr is an Emmy-award winning comedienne, talk show host, writer and actress born on November 3, 1952 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She grew up the oldest of four children in a working-class Jewish family, though she now considers herself a follower of Jesus Christ and a kabbalist. Roseanne Barr first became known early on for her stand-up comedy routines, before moving on to roles in television and film. She has worked on TV series such as
General Hospital , The Brothers Garcia,
My Name Is Earl , and her own namesake sitcom Roseanne. She has also appeared in the movies She-Devil and Look Who’s Talking Too.

She eventually comes to co-own a successful restaurant with her friends and her mother Bev.
