Rose Byrne was born Rose Judith Esther Byrne on July 24 1979 in Balmain, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Her first foray into big budget films came when she landed the part of handmaiden to Natalie Portman’s Padme Amidala in Star Wars Episode 2: Attack of the Clones. In 2004, she was cast alongside Josh Hartnett and Diane Kruger in the psychological romance thriller, Wicker Park. That same year, Byrne got her highest profile role to date, as Briseis, in Wolfgang Petersen’s epic, Troy, where she had the enviable part of being romanced by Brad Pitt’s Achilles.
