Biography

Golden Globe-nominated American actor Rob Morrow was born on September 21, 1962 in New Rochelle, New York. His parents divorced when he was nine, and he began his theatre career working for Tom O'Horgan and Norman Mailer. He continued his work on stage, committing himself to the theater as a founding member of the nonprofit ensemble, Naked Angels. Joining him are fellow celebrities Marisa Tomei, Fisher Stevens, Ron Rifkin, and Nancy Travis. His stage credits include performances in Third Street at the Circle Repertory Theatre, as well as the London West End production of Birdy. He has also been a host of Saturday Night Live twice.

After getting other small roles on television during the late 1980s, Rob Morrow joined the cast of the CBS series Northern Exposure. His portrayal of Dr. Joel Fleischman earned him recognition, garnering two Golden Globe Awards and three Emmy Award nominations for Best Actor in a Dramatic Series. When the show ended in 1995, Morrow moved on to do other projects. He starred in the critically acclaimed film Quiz Show and was seen on the 1996 film Mother, by Albert Brooks. He was seen in a number of films during the early 2000s, most notably Maze, which also marked his foray into the world of directing, writing and producing. He later joined the cast of Street Time, and became a regular cast member of the CBS series Numb3rs. He became known for portraying the character Don Eppes, an FBI Special Agent who recruits his mathematical genius brother, Charlie Eppes, to help him and the Bureau solve some of their most difficult cases. Rob Moorow’s other credits include the TV movies, The Day Lincoln Was Shot and The Thin Blue Lie, as well as the CBS miniseries Only Love and Jenifer. In 2007, Morrow was cast on the comedy The Bucket List, directed by Rob Reiner.
