Rob Mariano Biography:
Born on December 25, 1975 in Canton, Massachusetts, Rob Mariano was a hockey and golf player for Xavierian Brothers High School. Mariano also participated in local baseball and football teams, and as a student at Boston University, was an active boxer and rugby player. Amber Brkich , a contestant on Survivor: The Australian Outback and Survivor: All-Stars, in 2005.
Mariano himself was a contestant on the popular reality series, but first appeared in Survivor: Marquesas, where he was referred to as "Boston Rob." Mariano was voted off on Day 21 when his plan to turn his tribemates against each other backfired.
He met Brkich when he joined the show’s special season, Survivor: All-Stars. The attraction was instant, and their romantic relationship proved beneficial for both of them, as they helped each other get to the Final 2. Ultimately, Mariano lost the competition to Brkich by only vote, after the jury felt that Brkich was a slightly better person throughout the game.
