American actress Rebecca Field was born and raised in Lenox Dale, Massachusetts. She attended Lenox Memorial High School and studied communications and theater arts in Bridgewater State College. She first worked in various theater troupes in New York and Vermont before landing a career in Hollywood. It was in 2001 when she finally decided to pursue her dreams and move to Los Angeles. Since then, she has made numerous appearances on television shows.
Rebecca Field has had several minor roles in series like Mr. Nice Guy and the hit comedy Monk, starring Tony Shalhoub. She was given the role of Gail in the episode “Mr. Monk Bumps His Head.” In 2006, Field had a part in the series Mind of Mencia, and followed it up with a role in ER. She was next seen on the comedy The Metrosexual, directed by Adam Kaufman. She was able to act alongside Shaun Benson, Nick Paonessa, Bruce Weitz, Colym Meaney, Mya and Vic Chao. Field is also known for her work in the videos Trapped in the Closet: Chapters 1-12 and Trapped in the Closet: Chapters 13-22. However, it was her starring role in October Road that got her most fame. Rebecca Field joined the cast of the hit ABC TV series, portraying Janet Edith “The Planet” Meadows. She was able to get the role, allowing her to act alongside Geoff Stults, Laura Prepon, Eliabeth Bogush and Sean Gunn. Rebecca Field impressed the director with her work on the show, and she was signed on to a more regular role. About getting the part, she said, “I'm just a country bumpkin from the Berkshires. I came out to L.A. knowing what I wanted, but it never seemed like it would happen.” Field has also worked on the comedy show The Jamie Kennedy Experiment, appearing on two episodes of the series.
