Born on March 7, 1983 in Los Angeles, California, Raquel Alessi is an actress best known for her role as Lia Mathers on the series Standoff with Ron Livingston. Of Italian-American descent, her other prominent roles include the young Roxanne Simpson in the 2007 Nicholas Cage starrer Ghost Rider. Simpson would grow up to be played by Eva Mendes. She was previously seen in the role of Maria in the Emmy Award-winning miniseries Lucky Chances, adapted from two novels by Jackie Collins.
Alessi attended New York University, where she performed in numerous plays, such as The Rose Tattoo, Suburbia, Uncle Vanya, King Lear, A Lie of the Mind, and Les Liaisons Dangereuses. In 2007, she landed a regular role on Standoff as Lia Mathers, an intelligence analyst at CNU, FBI Los Angeles. Her other roles include Cinnamon in Summerhood, Rocco’s date in Carlito’s Way: Rise to Power, and a girl student in Uncle Sam in 1997.
Alessi was number 88 on the Hot 100 list of Maxim in 2007.
