Queer Eye

-Comedy Bravo's Emmy-winning Queer Eye (previously known as "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy") features five openly homosexual guys who engage with one makeover candidate per episode. At the start of each episode, they usually raid the home of the person who will be receiving the makeover and list all the faux pas, especially fashion no no's, that the person is making. Then they set about coaching the person in an effort to impart upon the individual their superior sense of style and refinement. Oftentimes the clash in styles are absolutely outrageous.

Queer Eye: Carson Kressly's New Reality Show

October 16, 2007

While Carson Kressley's own fashion choices (like the one pictured at left) sometimes raised a few eyebrows, he still managed to maintain the appropriate level of style authority to win the trust of most of his hapless subjects on Bravo's makeover show Queer Eye.

Now, after several years of transforming straight men on Queer Eye, Carson will now be using that well-honed style-savvy on a brand new reality program that will air on the CW Network sometime early next year.

Queer Eye: Ted Allen's Wine Series Available on DVD

October 9, 2007

Ted-AllenTed Allen has become a familiar face to millions through his work on Queer Eye and Top Chef. Through his role on Queer Eye, he has helped bridged the gap for many of their clueless subjects (and no doubt some of the home viewers who might feel equally clueless) about food and entertaining.

If your area of weakness is wine knowledge, you have ever wished you could have your own Ted Allen cram session before an important party or event, you now have a new resource to turn to. His PBS Series “Uncorked! Wine Made Simple” is being released on DVD this fall.

Queer Eye: Jai Rodriguez to Undergo His Own Makeover

October 2, 2007

JaiThrough the first four seasons of Queer Eye, Jai Rodriguez has helped transform many of the subjects who came looking for assistance from the Fab Five.  He's the "Culture Vulture" who helps the hapless with social interaction, dance, music and other social and cultural areas.

He's sure to do it again in this fifth and final season of Queer Eye. But as the series comes to an end, Jai seems to be thinking it's time for a makeover of his own.

Jai will be appearing on Dr. 90210 on Thursday. He's going to Dr.Will Kirby – that's right, Dr. Will from Big Brother is now on Dr. 90120 – requesting lips like Mario Lopez.

'Queer Eye' Gears Up For Last Season

September 28, 2007

Next week, Bravo will kick off the last season of the reality hit, Queer Eye.  The Fab Five have been helping straight men (and women) make themselves over from their wardrobes to their living spaces, and more, since 2003.  The show has been nominated for Emmy awards, winning one in 2004.  To kick off the fifth and final season on October 2, the premiere episode will feature the "Straight Guy Pageant" hosted by the legendary Susan Lucci.  An all-new episode follows where the Fab Five help a man who's about to meet the woman he's been talking to on Match.com for the last six months.

Bravo Moves Final Season Premiere of 'Queer Eye' to This Fall

July 19, 2007

Queer Eye's Fab FiveEarly this year, Bravo announced that it would be canceling its makeover show, Queer Eye, due in part to declining ratings.  The network also said that it would be airing the fifth and final season of the reality series this summer.  However, a recent press release from the network indicated that the premiere of the final season has been slightly delayed.

“Bravo spotlights the fall of 2007 with the final season of one of TV's most groundbreaking reality series, the Emmy Award-winning Queer Eye, which concludes its four-year run with 10 all-new episodes,” read the press release.
