Brooke Thomson, nicknamed Pumkin by rapper Flav on the VH1 reality show Flavor of Love, was born on January 19, 1980 in Bakersfield, California. She graduated from Shafter High School. In 2003, she graduated from California State University with a degree in business administration and a concentration in marketing. Before appearing in a bunch of reality shows, she was a substitute teacher and a cheerleading coach. She has appeared in MTV’s Next, Blind Date, Street Smarts, Friend or Foe, The John Walsh Show, and even Family Feud. She enjoys quick, spontaneous road trips to nearby beaches in California to as far away as New York City. The self-confessed bisexual also sells Pumkin apparel online.
Pumkin was fired from both her day jobs because students were reportedly constantly trying to photograph her, after her stint with Flavor of Love in 2006. The show pits 20 ladies for rapper Flavor Flav’s love as they live together in a California mansion for almost two months. In the show, she is most infamous for spitting at Tiffany “New York” Pollard’s face, resulting in her getting kicked out of the house immediately. Her tiff with Pollard earned her a spot in VH1’s 20 Greatest Celebreality Moments. In the reunion show, she revealed that she was dating Mr. Boston, a contestant from I Love New York, another reality show, this time, with Pollard as the central character. She also starred in the Flavor of Love spin-off, Flavor of Love: Charm School.
Pumkin is one of the 25 contestants in the VH1 reality show I Love Money, which features returning contestants past VH1 reality shows such as Flavor of Love, I Love New York, and Rock of Love with Bret Michaels. The 25 compete in physical and mental challenges en route to a grand prize of $250,000.
