Before the advent of cell phones, how on earth did people impersonate dead girls and terrorize their friends? Luckily, Pretty Little Liars need not worry. Laden with flashbacks, text messages, secrets and of course, pretty little (and not-so-little) lies, the shows second episode managed to hold my interest. Within the first few moments of the appropriately titled episode, the girls use the phrase "The Jenna Thing" so many times that somewhere near the fourteenth mention Im just about dying to know what happened. Surely this was a manipulation tactic on behalf of the writers, but Im a sucker for gossip--even of the fictional variety. What the heck did Alison do to Jenna and what does it have to do with her eventual murder? And why does the music get so creepy every time the poor girl enters a room?
