Phil Hawk appeared as a contestant in the fourth season of the NBC reality television series The Biggest Loser. He is 27 years old and hails from Powell, Ohio. Though he dreams of becoming a firefighter, his application for a position at the department was turned down due to his weight issues. But instead of giving up, he simply became more determined to lose weight and get back into shape, with the help of an intense training regimen and diet. He has the support of his wife and daughter, with whom he wants to become active and outgoing again, as well as having his sights still set on his career goal.
Phil, who is 6'5", went from weighing 403 pounds down to 342 pounds before he was eliminated on week 6. At the live finale, Phil weighed in at 258 pounds, having lost a total of 145 pounds and 35.98% of his total body weight.
