Perez Hilton appears as one of the contestants in the MTV reality television competition series Celebrity Rap Superstar. His rapper mentor on the show is
Tone Loc . He is an American blogger who was born on March 23, 1978 in Miami, Florida, with his real name being Mario Armando Lavandeira Jr. and “Perez Hilton” just a pseudonym. His blog’s URL is perezhilton.com. He was raised by Cuban parents and also has Galician ancestry, and presently lives in Los Angeles, California. Before he began working as a blogger, he was an amateur actor, a media relations assistant for the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation or GLAAD, and a managing editor for the gay men’s magazine Instinct.
He is most infamous for publishing negative comments about celebrities on his website, and attracting civil litigation against himself. His previous website PageSixSixSix.com was named “Hollywood’s Most Hated Website” on the television show The Insider. Among the celebrities who have had suits filed against him are Jennifer Aniston and Colin Farrell, while pop singer Fergie referenced him in her song pedestal as a hateful man who made negative remarks online. Other bloggers, web journalists and news sites have likewise spoken out against Lavandeira Jr., saying that he regularly engages in theft by stealing paparazzi photos and copyrighted content from their own sites.
