Originally from Yonkers, New York, Paul is the typical Italian New Yorker from Yonkers. He has a 9 to 5 job as a machinist for a utility company and during weekends, he DJ's on weddings. He attended Pace University and admits that he used to play around a lot until he met his wife on one of the weddings he was DJ'ing in. This completely changed his outlook in life from goofing off to being a devoted family man, especially to his daughter. He is too confident to a fault and, according to his wife, he just doesn't know when to shut up.

Marcie is one of the contestants in the ABC reality show The Mole. The show follows 12 contestants as they try to figure out who among them is The Mole, a saboteur who will keep them away from the prize money. It is up to the players to decide who The Mole is. They need to learn as much as possible about him or her because failure to do so means elimination. In the end, The Mole is revealed but only one will go home with the grand prize.

Paul describes himself as outgoing and charismatic and he thinks these traits will be beneficial in playing the game. He also feels that he has an advantage because his dad worked for a spy gadget company so he had some prior contact with spying in general while growing up.
