Born on February 17, 1981 in New York City, New York, Paris Hilton is a celebutante, television personality, singer, model, and businesswoman. She is the heiress to the fortune produced by the Hilton chain of hotels, and the real estate empire of her father, Richard Hilton. Since her notorious skyrocket-to-fame via her famous sex video, which also featured ex-boyfriend Rick Salomon, Hilton has branched herself to other endeavors and amassed a fortune of her own. She starred in a reality TV show, modeled for many fashion designers, and released her own album, perfume and clothing line.
Paris Hilton is also quite known for her own reality show called The Simple Life, along with several film credits, such as House of Wax in 2005. She became a notorious tabloid mainstay after a leaked sex tape in 2003 and several altercations with the law culminating in a widely covered jail sentence in a Los Angeles County facility in 2007. She is the oldest of four children of Richard and Kathy Hilton. She grew up alternating among several exclusive homes growing up, including a Waldorf-Astoria Hotel suite in Manhattan, Beverly Hills, and the Hamptons. She attended high school at the Marywood-Palm Valley School in Rancho Mirage and eventually Dwight School in New York. She also attended Canterbury School in Connecticut but was expelled for violating school rules in 1999. She grew up to become a model, actress, musician, and several ventures in business. In March, 2008, MTV confirmed Paris Hilton’s My New BFF featuring Hilton looking for a new best friend. Other than her own shows, she also appeared on episodes of The O.C., Las Vegas, American Dreams, and Veronica Mars.
