ABC has closed its doors on Opportunity Knocks, making it the network's first show to be swept under the rug and the second new series to be pulled from the fall schedule following the FOX comedy Do Not Disturb.
The traveling game show was a bit of a disappointment during its run, averaging only a 1.9 rating and a 5 share among its target audience, adults 18-49. It's also only averaged 6.3 million viewers, which may seem like a lot, but serving as a lead in to the results show of Dancing with the Stars, which is presently one of TV's most popular programs, it's simply lackluster.
