American Idol Season 6 - 20rh place
Nicholas Pedro Biography:
Like Gina Glocksen, Nicholas Pedro was also a returning contender in
American Idol , season 6. Nicholas was successful during his previous attempt, but after feeling the pressure, decided to leave the show during Hollywood week. The 26-year old native of Taunton, Massachusetts went back for a second try, believing that he was more ready emotionally to meet the challenges of the competition. The judges agreed with him and put him through to Hollywood and then to the Top 24. His first singing experience was in his kindergarten music class and eventually, he ended up taking some formal training in music. He likes to reflect on the lyrics of the songs he is going to perform and believes that the winner should be someone who can be considered as a role model. He enjoys listening to Stevie Wonder, Michael Buble and Lauryn Hill.
Nicholas Pedro was eliminated on the sixth season of American Idol on March 1, 2007, consequently landing the 20th spot on the competition. He was noted for his rendition of “Now and Forever” by Richard Marx and “Fever” by Peggy Lee.
Though his American Idol stint didn’t turn out to be victorious, he continues to thrive in the music scene with his upcoming gigs. This year, he is slated to perform at the Taunton Holiday Inn Taunton, Massachusetts and Orpheum Theater Foxboro in Foxboro, Massachusetts.
