Earl‘s ex-wife marries Darnell the crab man and Randy is invited, not Earl. To inflict more pain, Joy schedules the wedding on Earl‘s birthday so that all of their friends won‘t be able to celebrate with him. After getting drunk, Earl crashes the party and manages to accidentally break Joy‘s nose, thus adding another item to his list--"ruined Joy’s wedding." He later ends up sleeping with her after planning for a second, better wedding.
