Mrs. Weiss is faculty adviser for the school paper, The Circuit, featured in the MTV reality show
The Paper . The show follows the daily grind of producing the multi-awarded newspaper of Cypress Bay High School in Weston, Florida while watching how the staff members interact. Mrs. Weiss has been teaching journalism at Cypress Bay since the school opened in 2002. She was the editor of her high school newspaper at Twin Lakes High in West Palm Beach.
Mrs. Weiss oversees a 60-member staff and says she loves being around teenagers. In that capacity, she is responsible for selecting the next editor-in-chief, a much-coveted position. And while things may get crazy at times, with tight deadlines always on the horizon, she still manages to enjoy her job. She loves the feeling of seeing her students succeed. Outside The Paper, Mrs. Weiss is a mother of three.
