Korinna Moon Bloodgood, who was born on September 20, 1975 in Anaheim, California, was a cheerleader for the Los Angeles Lakers before she moved on to acting. She was born to an American father of Dutch and Irish descent and her mother was South Korean. She was an aspiring singer and songwriter before she was approached to audition for a guest role in the NBC sitcom Just Shoot Me! Bloodgood has graced the big screen with appearances in Eight Below where she played Katie alongside Paul Walker and Jason Biggs. She was also in Pathfinder as Starfire, a Native American. She also appeared in television series such as CSI in 2003, North Shore in 2004 and Day Break where she played Rita Shelten. She was also in the television movie Hollywood Division, a crime drama directed by James Foley. In 2007, she was cast for a role on Journeyman as Livia Beale, the unfortunate ex-fiancee of Dan Vasser played by Kevin McKidd. Her character already died, but meets Vasser once again because both of them can journey through time. The show did not make it past its first season despite its moderate success.
Moon Bloodgood has also made an appearance in the series Monk in 2005. She played Bridget in A Lot Like Love, alongside Ashton Kutcher and Amanda Peet. She was cast in minor roles in other films like Win a Date with Tad Hamilton and Moonlight Serenade. In 2008, she was given a role in What Just Happened? starring Sean Penn, John Turturro, Bruce Willis and Robert de Niro. She later signed on to portray Blair Williams in the 2009 film Terminator Salvation, starring Christian Bale, Anton Yelchin and Sam Worthington. One of her other projects is portraying Maya in the movie Streetfighter: The Legend of Chun-Li.
Bloodgood has also ranked #99 in Maxim magazine’s Hot 100 of 2005 list. The next year, she ranked #53, and moved up to #40 in 2007. In 2006, she was one of People magazine’s 100 Most Beautiful People in the World. She was also previously engaged to American actor and singer Eric Balfour.
