Michele Specht is an American film and television actress who grew up in Colorado Springs. She earned degrees in Classical Vocal Music Performance and in Theatre, and was chosen for prominent performance internships afterwards. These occurred in London with Theatre de Complicite and in the United States with Theatre de la Jeune Lune.
Since then, Specht has appeared on several television shows. She was seen on CSI: New York, The West Wing and Becker. She also had a number of film roles. In 2003, she worked with Jeremy Sisto in the Peter Stormare-produced The Movie Hero. She continued her work with short films, appearing in the Drama 3/4’s productions of Deliverance, the Musical and Boobles the Stripper Clown. She created the character for Another Showcase Showdown.
Other work that Michele Specht dabbled with is that of voicing characters. She can be heard on animated series and video games, such as the recurring character Pano in the anime show Mar. When it aired on the Cartoon Network, it was formally titled M?R: M?rchen Awakens Romance. She also had a speaking role in the anime Ouran High School Host Club, playing a maid on the episode “Futago ga aketa tobira.” Later on, she rose to fame in landing the role of Katie on the VH1 comedy series I Hate My 30s. Her character is an obsessive roommate of Kyle, who constantly follows him around and usually gets jealous of women who ask him out. Despite all this, Kyle still loves her, but only as a sisterly figure.
Specht also voiced a character in the Clive Barker video game Jericho, as the autistic reality hacker Sgt. Simone Cole. and was next seen on Love Conquers Al, and Carpoolers. She also lent her voice to the video game ToCA Race Driver: Grid, and the film Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa.
