American actor Michael Steger was born on May 27, 1980 in Los Angeles, California. Of Ecuadorian, Austrian and Norwegian descent, he was an honor graduate of California State Polytechnic University–Pomona, leaving with a theatre degree and a minor in Spanish. His career, however, started earlier, having appeared in several television commercials as a kid, and later guest starring in an episode of VR Troopers.
Steger made a return to acting in 2005, appearing in the independent adventure film 3 Girls and the Golden Cocoon. He appeared as a guest in NCIS that same year. Two years later, he earned a recurring role in the short-lived comedy The Winner. He then became a regular in several Disney Channel programs: he was a guest in Hannah Montana and Cory in the House, and co-starred in the television movie The Cheetah Girls: One World, which aired in 2008.
Also in 2008, Steger joined the cast of the drama series 90210. He played the role of Navid Shirazi, an upcoming television producer who works on his school’s morning announcement program. Because of this, he has earned the reputation of being West Beverly Hills High’s know-it-all, always able to get the latest gossip about his classmates.
