Michael Midgley is a 28-year old line cook at Wine and Roses restaurant in Lodi, California. He comes from Stockton, California and idolizes his grandmother and chef Stephen Putuan. Aside from being a cook, he is also a real estate agent.

He became part of the reality cooking show Top Chef as one of the contestants. He has a jolly personality and often fools around with everyone in the show but when it comes to the kitchen, he takes everything seriously.
