Melody Lacayanga is a Filipino-American dancer from Daly City, California. She began dancing at age 5 and at age 20, she moved from the Bay Area to Los Angeles to try to pursue a dance career. She had formal dance trainings in different areas like Jazz, Ballet, Tap, Modern and Lyrical.
Melody was the runner-up in Season 1 of FOX's hit show "So You Think You Can Dance," where she proved she could not just do jazz, but also hip hop, Jive and even Latin dancing. She was runner-up to Nick Lazzarini, who was her best friend on the show.
