Bear head to the big Island of Hawaii where he lands on Mount Kilauea, the world’s most active volcano. Bear must travel over a surface of rock that is a think crust over molten lava. It is so hot his shoes melt. In all directions the volcano spews sulphuric gases out making it hard to breathe. After trekking over this terrain Bear finds a small forest that offers him some food (honey) and water, but this is just a small break and soon it is back to the lava. Bear knows that his only chance to find humans is to head towards the shore.
