Lisa Ann Walter was born August 3, 1963 in Silver Spring, Maryland. She is an actress, producer and writer, who is best remembered for her role as Chessy in The Parent Trap, starring Dennis Quaid, Natasha Richardson and a very young Lindsey Lohan. She also gained prominence as the eccentric Bobbi in the Richard Gere-Jennifer Lopez starrer, Shall We Dance. She has also been in other films such as Bruce Almighty and War of the Worlds, as well as in television shows like Strong Medicine, Las Vegas and Nip/Tuck. She also headlines the upcoming thriller, Twisted.

Born on August 3, 1963 in Silver Spring, Maryland, Lisa Ann Walter is an actress and stand-up comedian best known for her roles in Parent Trap, Shall We Dance, and Bruce Almighty. Her father was a geophysicist at NASA and a theater performer himself. She studied at the Catholic University of America where she was trained in classical theater. This led to an internship at prestigious Arena Stage, before appearing in various regional and dinner theater productions. This led to her doing stand-up comedy and soon she moved to New York and joined amateur comedy contests at some comedy clubs. At 24, she was married and gave birth to her eldest Jordan. Motherhood and domestic instantly became the topic of her monologues and it was a big hit. Hollywood apparently liked her brand of sexy "Momedy" which led to several it-coms including ABC's Life's Work.
Walter also appeared on Steven Spielberg's War of the Worlds and in the hit series Nip/Tuck, plus Drillbit Taylor, alongside starring Owen Wilson. She has also produced and directed the online sensation Gonzo Girlz, a comedy DVD called The Naughty Show, and the reality series Dance Your Ass Off.
Howell is a contestant in the VH1 reality series Celebracadabra, where celebrities are taught different forms of magic by veteran magicians. Each week, the celebrities are judged and one gets eliminated, en route to a grade prize of $100,000.
