Lindsey Shaw has yet to become a household name, but her acting career is off to a promising start. Born on May 10, 1989, she has appeared in several print ads and commercials for both radio and television. Although she was born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska, she and her mother often took trips to Omaha in order to meet with Lindsey’s agent. They also traveled from home to Kansas city so that Lindsey could do more advertisements, and in 2002, moved permanently to California. She has attended Notre Dame High School, St. Francis Xavier School in Burbank and has been undergoing the Laurel Springs home-schooling program to keep up with her busy acting schedule.
Lindsey Shaw’s resume has been building up more and more, as she was known to have done print work and a radio spot for the U.S. Open. She has worked with acting teacher Jeremiah Comey and manager Pat Cutler, who she considers invaluable to her success. In 2004, Shaw landed the part of the female lead on the Nickelodeon teen comedy series, Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide. She portrayed the tomboyish character Jennifer Ann ‘Moze’ Mosely alongside Devon Werkheiser and Dan Curtis Lee. After three seasons, the show wrapped up in 2006 and Shaw worked with the CW network. Her next project became playing the character Claire Tolchuck on the comedy series Aliens in America. She was able to work with Dan Byrd, Adhir Kalyan, Scott Patterson and Amy Pietz on the series. Shaw has also been seen on the short drama film titled The Great Lie, directed by Comey and written by Dan and Lance Hubp. In 2008, she signed on to play Aubrey in the family film Nic & Tristan, about the life of 10-year old skateboarding twins. Lindsey Shaw has also been seen in a cameo for the Nickelback video of the song, “Rockstar.”
American actress Lindsey Shaw was born on May 10, 1989 in Lincoln, Nebraska. She began her career at a young age—after appearing in numerous school plays while she was in grade school—initially as a model for print ads and actress for television commercials. She and her mother had to travel long distances—initially from her hometown to Omaha, and later to Kansas City, Missouri, primarily because her agents were based in those cities. She also had a short stint in New York, where she voiced a radio commercial for the US Open.
Things somehow started to look up when Shaw finally moved to San Mateo, California in 2002. She took up acting classes at the Jeremiah Comey Film Acting Studios in Los Angeles, while attending shoots for more television commercials. She finally made her acting debut in 2004, when she was cast in the Nickelodeon series Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide. She played the role of Jennifer “Moze” Mosley, the “straight (wo)man” among her group (Devon Werkheiser as Ned and Daniel Curtis Lee as Cookie). Her character initially wanted to disassociate herself with her friends by getting a female best friend. She later becomes close with the two, but not after multiple troubles, where the guys often ask her for favors. The series ran for three years, and ended in 2007.
Her next major television role was in the short-lived comedy Aliens in America. Here she played the role of Claire Tolchuk, the popular younger sister of series lead Justin Tolchuk (Dan Byrd), who is very much unaware of her beauty, but nevertheless uses it to her advantage. The series had satisfactory ratings, but was not commissioned for a second season. Shaw has also appeared in a film, the comedy short The Great Lie, which was released in 2005.
