Lara Flynn Boyle is an Emmy Award-nominated American television and movie actress born on March 24, 1970 in Davenport, Iowa. She is of both Italian and Irish descent, and she grew up in different locations such as Wisconsin, Illinois and Chicago. She has also suffered from dyslexia previously. She has dated a number of different actors, among them Richard Dean Anderson, Jack Nicholson, and David Spade. She has been married twice, since she divorced her first husband. She studied and graduated from The Chicago Academy for the Arts before going on her quest for more fame.
Lara Flynn Boyle had her breakthrough in the film industry when she was cast in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. Her scene was unfortunately eliminated from the final cut, but this didn’t stop her. She was soon seen on the miniseries Amerika in 1987, and soon got roles in films like Poltergeist III and Dead Poets Society. Afterwards, she landed her first major role in the series Twin Peaks, playing Donna Hayward in the critically acclaimed program. Her career in the 1990s was marked with varying degrees of success. However, she became noted for many of her roles, which include the obsessive Stacy in Wayne’s World, the fragile Heather in Where the Day Takes You and the manipulative Suzanne in 1993’s Red rock West. This elevated her status as a femme fatale, earning her more parts in films like Threesome and Afterglow. She soon starred in the show The Practice, in a role created by David E. Kelley just for her. It earned her an Emmy nomination and several accolades from the Screen Actors Guild. When she and other cast members were dismissed unceremoniously from The Practice, Boyle worked on a leading villainous role in the film Men in Black II. She has been a guest-star on Ally McBeal, and had a recurring role on several episodes of the series Huff. She soon joined the cast of Las Vegas, playing the character Monica Mancuso. She followed this up with a TV true story titled Shades of Black: The Conrad Black Story, and was seen as a reporter on an episode of Law & Order.
