'Kyle XY' Says Goodbye, Series Finale Airs Tonight

Regardless of the legion of messages that arose from the news of Kyle XY being canceled, ABC Family seems hell-bent on ending the sci-fi series.  More than a month after a representative confirmed the cancellation, Kyle XY will  indeed wrap up its third season tonight 9pm on ABC Family.

On the series finale called “Bringing Down the House,” Kyle (Matt Dallas) gets Cassidy to open up about Latnok's plans for the future of Adam Baylin's experiment.  Meanwhile, Kyle learns that the secret society is going ahead with the mass production of more super children like Jessi and himself, with hundreds of pods ready to grow more babies. Kyle and Jessie are hell-bent on stopping it, enlisting the help of the Trager family, Declan, and Amanda.  Will they be able to find the secret test facility in time?  Tune in to find out.

A representative from ABC Family has confirmed reports that it will not be renewing teen sci-fi series Kyle XY for a fourth season, citing a slump in the ratings.  Last night's episode is the fourth this third and final season, with six more to go until it finally says goodbye.

Matt Dallas is back for an action packed third season of the science fiction teen drama Kyle XY.  The first of 10 all-new episodes begins tonight at 9pm ET/PT on ABC Family.

When we last saw Kyle XY, Amanda (Kirsten Prout) was abducted by someone while standing outside school waiting for Kyle to come back.  Now, Kyle (Matt Dallas) plots to rescue her in the season opener called “It Happened One Night.”

Kyle XY: Matt Dallas to Host Disney Christmas Parade

Kyle XY main man Matt Dallas will appear alongside American Idol host Ryan Seacrest and renowned talk show duo Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa on the 2008 Walt Disney World Christmas Day Parade in lake Buena Vista, Florida.  The parade, which will air Thursday Christmas Day at 10am on ABC, will feature the likes of pop superstars Miley Cyrus, The Jonas Brothers, and Corbin Bleu.

Dallas, 24, was seem putting on a big smile for the fans during taping, is best known for playing the belly button-less titular character in the ABC Family television series Kyle XY.  Kyle woke up in the forest just outside of Seattle, Washington with absolutely no memory of his life up until that instance.  The series chronicles his journey as he tries to understand the mysteries of his identity and why he doesn't have any memory.

ABC Family Orders More 'Greek,' 'Lincoln Heights' and 'Kyle XY'

ABC Family has decided to pick up three of the networks big programs to join the slate of new originals this year.  Greek, the teen drama that centers on college freshman Rusty (Jacob Zachar) who's determined not to continue on his bookish geekiness from his high school days by entering the Greek system, returns for a second season in July with a dozen new installments.

Kyle XY, on the other hand, has been renewed for a third season, consisting of 10 episodes.  The science fiction teen drama follows Kyle (Matt Dallas) as he tries to understand the mysteries of who he is or why he has no memory of being a child.  New episodes of Kyle XY are expected to air in early 2009.

'Kyle XY' Nominated for Several Saturn Awards

ABC Family's Kyle XY is once again at the receiving end of much recognition as the sci-fi family drama is nominated for several Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films – aka Saturn – awards.

The show, which revolves around a superhuman teen living with a normal suburban family, is up for a Saturn Award for Best Syndicated/Cable Television Series.  It's competing against such equally popular shows as Showtime's Dexter, SCI FI Channel's Battlestar Galactica and Stargate SG-1, and TNT's The Closer and Saving Grace.  This is the second time the show has been nominated in the category.
