Kevin Alejandro is a Mexican-American actor who was born on April 7, 1976 in San Antonio, Texas. He was raised in the small town of Snyder located in West Texas, and eventually went on to higher learning at the University of Texas at Austin. Alejandro has two sisters, Kimberly McGraw and Tanya Hernandez. During his college days, he also helped start the Jerry P. Worsham scholarship fund for poor theater students, together with the help of his best friend Stephen Monroe Taylor. The fund helps underprivileged students get a chance to go to college, and pay back their education debts smoothly. He sold everything he owned just so he can move to Los Angeles and pursue acting professionally. s
Alejandro was on the ABC comedy Ugly Betty as Santos, the father of Justin Suarez and love interest of Hilda. During the filming Ugly Betty’s season 1 finale, he was promoted as series regular on the Fox network’s Drive, which was introduced after being canceled before. He was also cast on the Showtime original series Sleeper Cell, as Benito Velasquez. He then played the character of Dominic Hughes in the daytime soap The Young and the Restless. He also appeared on the CSI: Miami episode “One of Us” and HBO’s Big Love as a gay hustler. Soon, he joined the cast of the CBS legal drama Shark as Deputy District Attorney Danny Reyes. His character often crosses paths with the show’s protagonist Sebastian Stark. On Charmed, meanwhile, he was a guest on a season 7 episode where he played a cunning demon named Malvock. He was also the first few episodes of 24 during its fourth season, where he appeared opposite fellow Ugly Betty actor Tony Plana.
