Kevin Alejandro Biography:
Born on April 7, 1976 in San Antonio, Texas, actor Kevin Alejandro attended the University of Texas, and had put up everything in his possession for sale in order to buy a ticket to Los Angeles, where he hoped to launch his acting career. Among his memorable television appearances have been on the shows Sleeper Cell and
The Young and the Restless . At present, Alejandro is busy working on two television series,
Ugly Betty and Drive. Apart from being a rising television star, Alejandro, along with his good friend Stephen Monroe Taylor, also spearheaded the Jerry P. Worsham scholarship fund, which aims to provide a means for deprived theater students to pursue their tertiary education.
Winston Salazar is portrayed by Kevin Alejandro on the television series, Drive. Winston was brought up by his mother, who eventually passed away from breast cancer when he was a young teenager. He had high marks in science in English at Hialeah-Miami Lakes High School, but this did not stop him from running away from his foster parents and turning to a life of crime. He was incarcerated for armed robbery at Brockridge Correctional Facility, but, through questionable means, was given early parole. A free man, Winston signed up to participate in “The Race.”
