Actress, singer and writer Kerri Kenney-Silver was born in Westport, Connecticut on January 20, 1970. She is the daughter of actor Larry Kenney. Kenney-Silver was part of the improv comedy group The State, which was picked to do a sketch comedy show on MTV in 1993. She followed in her father's footsteps and did voice-over projects in shows like Buzz Lightyear of Star Command. Kenney-Silver is married to cinematographer Steven V. Silver, and they have a son.

Deputy Trudy Wiegel is played by Kerri-Kenney Silver on the Comedy Central series Reno 911! Trudy is a hypochondriac, an emotionally unstable individual with lots of psychological disorders.

Besides being an actress, she is a member of an all-female rock group called Cake Like, where she provides lead vocals and plays bass guitar.

Kerri's father is Larry Kenney of the Don Imus radio show. He is the man behind the various voices on the show, including General Patton, Andy Rooney and Ross Perot. Larry is also the voice behind the TV commercial characters Count Chocula and Sonny the Coco-Puffs Coo-Coo Bird. Arguably his most famous role is providing the voice of Lion-O in the Thundercats cartoon.

Had a band called 'Cakelike' that started out as a joke but ended up being recorded and released.

Her husband, Steve Silver, is a photography director for television shows.
