American actor Kerr Smith was born on March 9, 1972 in Exton, Pennsylvania. He is best known for playing the gay high school student Jack McPhee on the show Dawson’s Creek. He attended Pierce Middle School, later graduating from Henderson High School. He then studied at the University of Vermont, and he holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.
Kerr Smith began acting in 1996, landing the role of Ted Hughes on As the World Turns. He also appeared on Baywatch, and was credited for his performances in Hit and Runway, and Lucid Days in Hell. In 2000, he played the character Carter Horton in the hit horror film Final Destination, and later starred on an episode of CSI :Crime Scene Investigation. He next appeared on The Outer Limits, then played Santa Claus on the Miss Match episode titled “Santa, Baby.” In 2004, he played Jason Argyle in Cruel Intentions 3, and was cast in Silverlake and Roadkill that same year. He soon took on the role of Kyle Brody on the series Charmed, before he obtained a guest spot in CSI: Miami. In 2005, Smith was seen as Blake Rawlings on the series The Closer and soon played Bobby Wilkerson on 13 episodes of E-Ring. At the time, he got involved in the Fox series Justice, playing the idealistic Tom Nicholson. The series was soon canceled, and Smith moved on to other projects. These include playing Drew Bedford in CSI: NY, as well as his portrayal of Paul Rollins on Eli Stone. He has also been credited for his role of Axel Palmer in the film My Bloody Valentint 3-D.
In 2003, Smith married Harmoni Everett. This actor is also fond of music, as he plays the bass and has taught himself how to play the piano.
