Born in Urbana, Illinois and raised in Abilene, Texas, Kenny Baumann started acting at the age of 11 when he was in New York. Three years later at age 14, he moved to Los Angeles and almost immediately bagged a lead in a pilot for FOX opposite Alan Ruck and Kristen Johnson. More recently, Baumann landed a role in an independent feature called Springbreak 83 with a cast that includes Jamie Kennedy and Joey Pantoliano. His family owns and operates a miniature horse ranch and wildlife rescue. He counts Kurt Vonnegut, Albert Camus, Martin Scorsese, Stanley Kubrick, and Francis Bacon as his influences and inspirations. Other than acting, he also enjoys writing, photography, music, and even improv comedy.
Kenny Baumann plays the role of Ben Baykewich on the ABC series The Secret Life of the American Teenager. Ben is very sarcastic and self-proclaimed know-it-all. He is best friends with Alice and Henry and is secretly pining over Amy but refuses to show it. In reality, Ben is a hopeless romantic who would do anything to capture the perfect movie moment.
