American actor Keith Nobbs was born on April 9, 1979 in Chicago, Illinois. A graduate of the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, he began acting for stage, making his acting debut in a production of Stupid Kids in 1998. His Broadway debut was in The Lion in Winter, where he appeared alongside Laurence Fishburne. He has since appeared in numerous Broadway and off-Broadway productions, most notably the 2002 take on Four, for which he received a Drama Desk Award nomination and won a Lucille Lortel Award.
Nobbs’ screen debut came in 2002, when he played a guest role in the acclaimed drama series The Sopranos. He then appeared in several films, the first being the crime drama Double Whammy in 2001, and later in Phone Booth, 25th Hour, It Runs in the Family and Premium. He also played guest roles in Law & Order and Law & Order: Criminal Intent. His first regular television role was in The Black Donnellys, the short-lived ensemble drama which aired in 2007. He played the role of Joey “Ice Cream”, a lifelong friend of the brothers and (unreliable) narrator of the series.
