British-Canadian actor Keir Gilchrist was born on September 28, 1992 in London, England. After moving with his family to Canada, he began acting for television and film, making his debut in an episode of the American version of Queer as Folk. Most of his early roles were in films such as The Right Way, The Sadness of Johnson Joe Jangles and A Lobster Tale, as well as in Canadian television shows such as 1-800-Missing and ReGenesis.
Gilchrist earned some level of recognition in the United States when he starred in the short-lived comedy series The Winner. Having worked previously with its creator, Ricky Blitt, who was a writer for Family Guy, he appeared as Josh McKeller, the son of Alison (Erinn Hayes) and friend of lead character Glen Abbott (Rob Corddry). Disappointing ratings marked the first six episodes, and the show was ultimately cancelled.
However, it wasn’t the last of Gilchrist’s screen roles in the United States. After taking guest roles in Life with Derek, he took a regular role in the Showtime series The United States of Tara, where he appears as Marshall, the younger son of multiple-personality afflicted lead Tara (Toni Collette).
