Canadian actor Kaj-Erik Eriksen was born on February 15, 1979 in Vancouver, Canada. He began acting when he was just six years old, when he took small roles in television and films. His first big break was in the independent release Quarantine, which got him hooked on acting definitely.
After roles in television shows such as MacGyver, as well as other roles in television movies and films, Eriksen got his first tastes of fame among American audiences. In 1991, he joined the cast of the television series The Commish, as David, the teenaged son of police commissioner Tony Scali (Michael Chiklis). The popularity of the series, which ran for four years, gave him a nomination for a Young Artist Award in 1993. During the time, he played guest roles in shows such as Monkey House, Goosebumps and Are You Afraid of the Dark? and got a lead role in The Mighty Ducks, which he left later because of scheduling conflicts.
When The Commish ended its run, Eriksen moved to Los Angeles to further pursue his acting career. He played guest roles in shows like Walker, Texas Ranger, Home Improvement and Prey, before getting a recurring role in the comedy Beggars and Choosers. His next major television was in the school drama Boston Public, where he starred in its second season.
In 2004, Eriksen got a role in the hit science fiction show, The 4400. He played a somewhat minor, but still regular role, as Danny Farrell, the younger brother of Shawn (Patrick Fleuger) who is very much against the 4400—or, technically, his brother, as he “stole” his girlfriend. During the time, he also played guest roles in shows such as Tru Calling, Enterprise, The Dead Zone, Saved and Criminal Minds. Before the end of the show’s run, he starred in the crime drama film 88 Minutes.
