While Jenn Pinto was born in Brooklyn, New York, she is proud of her Puerto Rican and Ecuadorian roots. By age 7, she said she knew she wanted to be famous. She began dancing at an early age while studying ballet and jazz. A Sesame Street alumna, she landed her first acting job in a production called A Christmas Carol. After a couple of years, though, financial difficulties would cause the young aspiring actress to put her dreams on a halt. By age 15, though, she worked as a waitress at a catering hall and paid for her dancing and acting classes herself. In 2003, she landed a big role in an independently produced feature film What Goes Around which won in the New York International Film Festival in November 2004. After this impressive debut, she also starred in several other independent films, plus more hosting and acting jobs. She currently works as a dance instructor but she says acting is really her first love.
She describes herself as a positive, determined, headstrong and, like many budding actresses, dreams of one day bringing home an Oscar.
